Friends of Greenmead 35th Annual Garden Walk
The Friends of Greenmead invite you to their 35th Annual Garden Walk on Saturday, June 28, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Enjoy a self-guided tour of five beautiful, privately owned gardens across Livonia, along with the stunning Simmons-Hill House Gardens at Greenmead.
Tickets are $9 in advance or $10 on the day of the event. Advance tickets go on sale in May and can be purchased in person at the Greenmead Office (20501 Newburgh Road) with cash or check, or online by credit card. For details and ticket links, call (248) 477-7375.
On the day of the walk, maps will be available only at the Simmons-Hill House at Greenmead (from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and the Civic Center Library (from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.). The Simmons-Hill House is in the northwest corner of Greenmead, at Victor Parkway and 8 Mile Road, just west of the barns and silos. Please park in the Farm Complex lot and walk about 150 yards to the house.
Participants are responsible for their own transportation to each garden location.
If you’d like to feature your own garden on a future walk, reach out to FriendsofGreenmead@gmail.com.
The Friends for the Development of Greenmead is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the restoration and growth of Livonia’s historic Greenmead village and park. Proceeds from the Garden Walk go directly toward Greenmead’s continued development and preservation.
