Summer Reading is back!
Get ready to dive into a whole summer of stories, creativity, and community fun at the Livonia Public Library. Our 2025 Summer Reading Program has something for everyone—kids, teens, and adults are all invited to join in! There are prizes to win, events to enjoy, and programs for every age group.
Starting June 1, kids and tweens (entering 7th grade or younger) can track their reading, tackle fun activities, and earn great rewards—including a free book and a shot at the Grand Prize Raffle! Families can also look forward to Outdoor Storytimes, performances by The Music Lady and Cameron Zvara, and events at Sheldon and Mies Parks.
Teens, your challenge is easy: read whatever you want, all summer long. For every five hours you read and log, you’ll earn a raffle ticket for one of eight awesome prize baskets. Plus, join in on teen library programs to score extra entries.
And adults, you’re in on the fun too! Every book you read gets you a raffle ticket for some fantastic prizes. Earn even more tickets by coming to programs, submitting book reviews, or checking out a Michigan Activity Pass. Register starting June 1 and snag a pair of library socks while supplies last!
We’re kicking off summer in style with our Summer Reading Kickoff Party! Stop by the Bennett Civic Center Library on Saturday, June 7 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for live music, giant board games, face painting, and more. Don’t miss it!
